The phrase “spiritual formation and worship” first brings to mind Romans 12:1, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
I think of spiritual formation as seeking to know self by seeking God, His will, and purpose for your life. Spiritual formation involves renewing your mind so that you put on the mind of Christ.
I think of worship as offering to the Lord praise and thanksgiving for who He is and what He has done in your life. Worship is God centered.
